Summary. HealthWise AI provides an AI chat assistant for health and nutrition. You control whether the app can access Apple Health (HealthKit) data. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy applies to the HealthWise AI mobile app and this website (“Service”). “We”, “us”, and “our” refer to the Service operator.

2. Information we collect

Account and contact. If you create an account or contact support, we may collect identifiers like email and basic support metadata.

Chat content. Messages you type in the chat and the app’s responses.

Apple Health (HealthKit) data (optional). If you grant permission, the app may read selected Health data such as steps, workouts, heart rate, and sleep, depending on what you enable in iOS permissions.

App usage and diagnostics. Basic telemetry to keep the Service reliable (e.g., crash logs, device type, app version, approximate timestamps). We do not collect precise location unless you explicitly provide it.

3. How we use information

  • To provide the Service and personalized guidance (health advice chat, nutrition coaching, meal planning suggestions, calorie and macro guidance).
  • To improve app quality, debug issues, and prevent fraud or abuse.
  • To respond to support requests and communicate important product updates.

4. Apple Health (HealthKit) data

Apple Health access is opt-in. You can use the app without connecting Apple Health.

When enabled, Health data is used to personalize insights (e.g., activity and sleep context) and to answer your questions more accurately.

We do not use HealthKit data for advertising. We do not sell HealthKit data.

You can revoke access at any time in iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → HealthWise AI (path may vary by iOS version).

5. Sharing and disclosure

We share information only as needed to run the Service:

  • Service providers. Hosting, analytics, crash reporting, and customer support vendors acting on our instructions.
  • Legal. If required by law, to protect users, or to enforce our Terms.
  • Business changes. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

We do not sell your personal information.

6. Data retention

We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes described above, unless a longer period is required by law. You may request deletion of your account data where applicable.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

8. Your choices

  • Connect or disconnect Apple Health at any time via iOS settings.
  • Limit what you share in chat (avoid sensitive identifiers).
  • Request access, correction, or deletion where applicable.

9. Children

The Service is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. International transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will change the “Effective date” above and, if changes are material, provide additional notice in the app or on this page.
